Christopher Bils Named Outstanding Newcomer at Ashland University Awards Celebration

ASHLAND, OH (04/26/2011)(readMedia)-- An area resident attending Ashland University – Christopher Bils of Findlay – has been named Outstanding Newcomer for his participation in The Collegian, Ashland University's student-powered newspaper. This award was presented by the Department of Journalism and Digital Media on April 4, 2011.

Bils is a freshman majoring in Journalism and English at Ashland University. He is the son of Patrick and Tina Bils. He is a 2010 graduate of Arlington High School.

Ashland University's Department of Journalism and Digital Media first converged in the Fall of 2010, combing the Electronic Media and Journalism degrees. This degree is the first of its kind in the state of Ohio.
