Church Calling Out City official's
Enough is Enough
ALBANY, NY (05/22/2021) (readMedia)-- BLOOD ON STREETS Albany shooting: Hunt for gunman after 'six men shot' outside downtown store in New York State.
This is so sad that our corner made national news when two years ago we met with city leaders about the safety on this corner.
We have great police officers in Albany but we have a leadership in our city who are not listening and making our city a very dangerous place for people to live.
Here we go again the same reaction and the same no results.
But this time when the officials begin to make excuses they have been warned that this was going to happen because nothing is being done.
Get ready the Mayor will walk the neighborhood during the day.
A car will be parked on the corner.
Another memorial on the corner.
Lots of empty words about community involvement.
Then once again we will be frowned upon because of our warnings and comments about what is happening on the corner.
Once again nothing will be done.
One more time I will offer our building to be a out station for police to have a office.
22 years we have been feeding children on First and Quail. We love the people all the people and we serve because we love.
Every shooting we offer solutions and every shooting we get the same results. No one wants to make any real change because they say it is not time to point fingers. Maybe it is about time to listen and respond.
Today at 10 AM at Victory Church on Quail St will host Lee Rouson of the NY Giants this event was scheduled to address men to rise up and help us work in the community to make this summer a safe summer.
12:30 today at Hoods House of Hoops on First Street Lee Rouson will speak to city youth about the quality of life.
Pastor Charlie will present a check to House of Hoops for their efforts to help city youth.
These events were scheduled before the shootings and will now address some of the violence and the reason to continue the work with our city youth.
The JC Club had bullets shot into the office and will call on City officials to meet once again.
