Clyde Kessler Receives Final Convocation Award

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA (04/28/2011)(readMedia)-- At Final Convocation on April 21, Hampden-Sydney College senior Clyde Royal Kessler received the Brown Teaching Fellowship, presented by Dr. Elizabeth J. Deis, Associate Dean of the Faculty and Professor of Rhetoric & Humanities. The Brown Teaching Fellowship recognizes a student who is committed to teaching at either the elementary or secondary level.
Clyde played free safety on the varsity football team and is a member of the Tiger Athletic Club and the honor society Psi Chi (psychology). A psychology major, Clyde graduated from Loudoun Valley High School and is the son of Robert & Joanne Feickert of Round Hill.
