Coker College Graduate Emma Hayes Honored at Spring Commencement
HARTSVILLE, S.C. (05/09/2012)(readMedia)-- Emma Hayes, of Hartsville, S.C., was recognized as one of two first honor graduates during Coker College's 104th Spring Commencement May 5. Graduates who have spent four years at Coker with the highest overall record of scholarship are designated as first honor graduates. Hayes achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 4.0. She was also awarded the Alumni Cup, which is awarded by the Coker College Alumni Association to the five members of the graduating class who have earned the highest academic averages for their junior and senior years. Hayes graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in biology.
