Coker Students Present Research at Conference

HARTSVILLE, SC (12/03/2013)(readMedia)-- Coker College students Sean Arnold and Chase Chewning recently presented their research at the 2013 Southeast Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society in Atlanta, Ga.

Over 1000 presentations were given by undergraduates, graduate students and professors from colleges and universities throughout the southeastern states. Arnold, a junior chemistry major from Charleston, S.C., presented a poster entitled "Microwave Spectrum and Ab-initio Calculations of 2-Chloro-3-Fluoropyridine." Chewning, a senior chemistry major from Camden, S.C., presented a poster entitled "Microwave Spectrum and Ab-initio Calculations of 2-Chloro-6-Fluoropyridine." Arnold and Chewning's projects were supported by grants from the National Science Foundation and the South Carolina GEAR program.
