Coker's Goot Named National Pitcher of the Week

HARTSVILLE, SC (03/01/2012)(readMedia)-- Coker sophomore Andrew Goot (Oldsmar, Fla.) has been named the NCAA Division II Baseball National Pitcher of the Week according to D2 Baseball News.
The right-hander was a perfect 2-0 last week, with wins over Claflin and Limestone. He allowed just three runs in 16 innings with 14 strikeouts.
In addition to receiving National Pitcher of the Week honors, Goot was also named the Conference Carolinas Pitcher of the Week.
The Cobras return to action this weekend when they host King College in a three-game series on Saturday and Sunday.
