Colton McNinch, Utica, Named KCAC Male Runner of the Week

WINFIELD, KS (09/14/2011)(readMedia)-- Southwestern College sophomore and cross country runner Colton McNinch (Utica, KS) has been selected KCAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week, announced Monday Sept. 12 by the Kansas College Athletic Conference.
Colton McNinch is the son of Dennis and Kim McNinch, Utica. McNinch is a graduate of Ness City High School.
McNinch finished first overall out of 102 runners at the Wichita Wild Wind Cross Country race, hosted by Friends University. He led Southwestern to a second place team finish in the 14-team field.
McNinch's 8,000 meter time was a career best 25:45.
The No. 14 ranked Southwestern College cross country team will be in action again this Saturday at the Missouri Southern Stampede. For more information and up-to-date results, go to www.buildersports.com.
