Common Cause/NY Statement on National Popular Vote

NEW YORK, NY (03/25/2014)(readMedia)-- ALBANY, NY-This evening the New York State Legislature passed the National Popular Vote. The National Popular Vote movement is an interstate effort to guarantee the Presidency to the candidate who receives the most popular votes in the entire United States. The passage of the bill means that New York State will award its electoral votes to the winner of the popular vote.

"The National Popular Vote bill is about empowering the only true voice of the people to elect the president.
