Common Cause/NY Statement on Passage of National Popular Vote

NEW YORK, NY (04/15/2014)(readMedia)-- Today Governor Andrew Cuomo signed the National Popular Vote legislation into law. The National Popular Vote movement is an interstate effort to guarantee the Presidency to the candidate who receives the most popular votes in the entire United States. The signing of the bill means that New York State will award its electoral votes to the winner of the popular vote.
