Community Health Organizations to Promote Wellness at SUNY Canton April 15

CANTON, NY (04/07/2015)(readMedia)-- The SUNY Canton Davis Health Center has invited more than 25 area agencies to help promote a healthy lifestyle for the college and community.

Each agency will be providing health screenings or education at the college's Health Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, in Dana Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

There will be information about disaster preparedness, lung cancer screenings, weight loss, grief support, blood pressure and diabetes testing, tobacco cessation, caring for Alzheimer's disease patients, health care plans and more. There will also be a distracted driving simulator that will allow participants to see how easily it is to get in an accident when driving while distracted.

• Watertown Veteran Center
