Conover's Boar Named Champion in Berkshire Show at State Fair

DES MOINES, IA (09/03/2009)(readMedia)-- Brice Conover of Baxter showed the Champion Boar at the Berkshire Swine Show judged Friday at the 2009 Iowa State Fair. Reserve Champion Boar was exhibited by Ritter Family Berkshires of Bondurant.

VB Genetics of Cedar won Champion Gilt while the Goehring Family Farm of Keosauqua took the Reserve banner.

The Premier Exhibitor award was taken by Shady Brook Farm of Logan.

Animals are divided according to farrowing date based on the other animals entered in the competition.
