Construction to Necessitate Interchange 1 (Yonkers, Hall Place) Ramp Closure on I-87 Southbound
Motorists Advised to Follow Signed Detour Route
The New York State Thruway Authority today announces the Interchange 1 (Yonkers, Hall Place) ramp on I-87 Southbound will be temporarily closed beginning at 10 p.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2010, due to the electrical work associated with the roadway resurfacing project currently taking place on I-87 from the New York City line to Interchange 8 (I-287, White Plains).
Weather permitting, the southbound ramp closure will be in place, from 10 p.m. Thursday until 5 a.m. Friday. During the closure, southbound motorists will be directed to follow the posted detour route.
The Authority will activate Variable Message Signs (VMS) and Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) 530 AM to advise motorists of the ramp closure.
The Authority appreciates motorists' patience while this work takes place.
