CAMP SMITH TRAINING SITE, CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. (09/17/2018) Tracey-Ann Stewart, a Monroe resident, an Afghan War veteran, and a member of the New York Army National Guard has been named First Sergeant of the 133rd Composite Supply Company.

The company first sergeant is the highest ranking non-commissioned officer in a unit of 100 to 200 Soldiers.

The 133rd Composite Supply Company is an Army National Guard logistics unit which is based at Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn.

Stewart took over as first sergeant during a Sept. 8 ceremony at Camp Smith Training Site near Peekskill.

Story has served in the Army and Army National Guard since 1995.

She deployed to Afghanistan as a member of the New York Army National Guard's 101st Expeditionary Signal Battalion in 2012-2013. In 2016-2017 she deployed to Kuwait as a member of the 369th Sustainment Brigade's Headquarters Company.

Stewart holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from John Jay College and a paralegal studies diploma from New York University.

Her military awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the NATO Medal, the Afghan Campaign Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Meritorious Unit Citation and the Air Assault Badge.

Stewart is the daughter of Wilfred Stewart and Sonia Phillips.
