DECATUR, GA (04/26/2010)(readMedia)-- Taylor Clemmons of Tucker has been awarded the Agnes Scott Solution Award and the Nannette Hopkins Music Scholarship by Agnes Scott College for the 2010-2011 academic year. Taylor is the daughter of David and Tasha Messer II.
The Agnes Solution award is combined with the Agnes Advantage award to total $65,000 over four years. Those selected to receive The Agnes Solution are Georgia residents who have qualified for the HOPE Scholarship with a 3.0 GPA in specific courses required for college admission. In addition, students awarded The Agnes Solution have demonstrated balanced extracurricular experience, which suggests they will contribute to life at the college.
The Nannette Hopkins Music Scholarship is awarded to incoming first year students who express an intention of majoring or minoring in music. These scholarships range from $8,000 to $28,000 over four years. The recipient of the Nannette Hopkins Music Scholarship demonstrates scholastic ability, talent and seriousness of thought, purpose and endeavor and financial need. This scholarship is renewable as long as the student continues to major or minor in music.
