Sondra Goldsmith Proctor Presents Two Organ Recitals at SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music this Fall

St. Lawrence University organist and musician-in-residence Sondra Goldsmith Proctor will perform in two recitals at Crane this fall.

POTSDAM, NY (09/05/2014)(readMedia)-- The Associated Colleges of the St. Lawrence Valley will present two organ recitals at SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music this fall. Crane has made space available to St. Lawrence University's organist and musician-in-residence, Sondra Goldsmith Proctor, during the current restoration of Gunnison Memorial Chapel.

The first recital will feature the music of composers Gilles Leclerc and Rachel Laurin of Ottawa, as well as Maurice Duruflé, a French composer and organist, and Dr. Michael Sitton, the Crane School's Dean.

The performance will take place at 12:15 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11, in the Helen M. Hosmer Concert Hall. Admission is free and open to the general public.

A second performance will take place at 12:15 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2, also in Hosmer Hall. This concert will celebrate the grand masters of the organ, Herman Berlinski and Charles-Marie Widor.
