Crane School of Music Professor Reflects on Lifelong Learning in Seminar Series Talk on Sept. 9

2015-16 Disciplined Inquiry in Education Seminar Series Opens at SUNY Potsdam with Talk Featuring Dr. Michael Schaff

POTSDAM, NY (08/28/2015)(readMedia)-- Crane School of Music Professor Dr. Michael Schaff will open the 2015-16 Disciplined Inquiry in Education Seminar Series with a presentation at noon on Wednesday, Sept. 9 in Satterlee Hall Room 300.

Schaff's presentation, "Back to School: Reflections of a Full Professor, Lifelong Learner," will look at the lessons the faculty member has learned, as he has gone back to earn his associate degree in veterinary science technology. The music education professor will discuss the new perspective the experience has given him on teaching styles, student life and more.

The Disciplined Inquiry in Education Seminar is sponsored by SUNY Potsdam's School of Education and Professional Studies. Over the last seven years, the School has hosted more than 60 presenters through the series.

All seminar meetings will be offered on Wednesdays, in Satterlee 300 from noon to 1 p.m. These events are free, and the public is welcome to attend.
