Crane Symphonic Band Presents Final Concert of Year April 17

SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music Presents Crane Symphonic Band Concert

POTSDAM, NY (04/11/2014)(readMedia)-- SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music will present the Crane Symphonic Band's final concert of the academic year, on Thursday, April 17 at 7:30 p.m. in the Helen M. Hosmer Hall.

The performance will open with "American Overture for Band" by Joseph Willcox Jenkins, followed by "The Leaves are Falling" by Warren Benson and "Armenian Dances" by Alfred Reed. Following a short intermission, the Crane Symphonic Band will present Frank Ticheli's "Postcard," as well as an arrangement of Johann Sebastian Bach's "Fantasia in G-Major," concluding the concert with Robert Russell Bennett's "Suite of Old American Dances."

This event is free, and the public is invited to attend.
