Crane Symphony Orchestra Presents First Concert of Fall Semester

SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music Presents Crane Symphony Orchestra Concert Oct. 9

POTSDAM, NY (10/02/2014)(readMedia)-- SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music will present a concert featuring the Crane Symphony Orchestra in its first concert of the semester, on Thursday, Oct. 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the Helen M. Hosmer Concert Hall.

The performance will include "Les Préludes" by Franz Liszt, "The Swan of Tuonela" by Jean Sibelius, and Symphony No. 5 by Piotr Ilyrich Tchaikovsky.

This event is free, and the public is invited to attend.

About the performers:

The Crane Symphony Orchestra is a premier, 90-member performing ensemble at The Crane School of Music. The ensemble performs great orchestral masterworks from the standard and contemporary orchestral literature. The Crane Symphony Orchestra has traveled to perform at Lincoln Center, and in tours across New York State, in addition to working with major guest conductors from around the world each year.
