Creighton Student Wins Award at National Undergraduate Research Conference

OMAHA, NE (04/23/2013)(readMedia)-- Creighton University student Brent Bruck was awarded top honors at the West Coast Biological Sciences Undergraduate Conference on April 20 in San Diego.

Six Creighton students presented at the conference along with over 400 other undergraduates from 60 institutions throughout the country. The event is the oldest, intercollegiate conference of its kind in the nation.

Brent Bruck, a chemistry and biology double major working with James Fletcher, Ph.D., won best poster presentation for his project, "Dicarboxylated Ethynylarenes as Fluorescent Chemsensors for Polyamines."

Bruck is a graduating senior in Creighton University's Honors program.
