Cristin Cash Earns Promotion from St. Mary's College of Maryland
St. Mary's College of Maryland announces that Cristin Cash, formerly of New Orleans, Louisiana, has been reappointed with tenure and promoted to associate professor, effective August 1, 2011. Cash joined the faculty at St. Mary's in 2005. She earned a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin. She teaches art and architecture of the Americas from ancient times to the present, world architecture and museum studies. Her current research focuses on the intersection of art and politics within visual representations of the built environment of Latin America.
St. Mary's College of Maryland, designated the Maryland state honors college in 1992, is ranked one of the best public liberal arts schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. More than 2,000 students attend the college, nestled on the St. Mary's River in Southern Maryland.
