Croton-on-Hudson resident Sophie Maguire choreographs dance in Connecticut College's 'Woven'
NEW LONDON, CT (05/05/2010)(readMedia)-- Sophie Maguire, a dance major and member of the Class of 2010 at Connecticut College, choreographed a dance in "Woven," the senior thesis dance concert. The concert was April 22-24 in Connecticut College's Palmer Auditorium.
Maguire, a 2006 graduate of the Masters School, is the daughter of Michael Maguire and Andrea Jacobson of Croton-on-Hudson.
Maguire's piece, "The Less Vanquished," featured nine dancers and was set to music by Paval Ambiont and Greg Haines. "Woven" also featured choreography by seven other Connecticut College senior dance majors, Dance Professor Lisa Race and guest artist Rachel Boggia.
