Crown Point Ferry to Open Tomorrow
CROWN POINT, NY (01/31/2010)(readMedia)-- The Crown Point Temporary Ferry will open tomorrow morning at 5:00 A.M. Vermont Governor Jim Douglas and New York Department of Transportation Acting Commissioner Stanley Gee will be on hand Monday morning to ride the first open-to-the-public ferry passage across Lake Champlain at the site of the former Champlain Bridge. The first ferry will depart from Addison, Vermont at 5:00 A.M. and will travel to the Crown Point, New York location, where Governor Douglas will be greeted by Acting Commissioner Stanley Gee.

Leaves Vermont Monday, February 1, 2010 at 5 A.M., and New York 5:15 A.M.

FERRY SCHEDULE:
The temporary ferry will leave on the hour and quarter-hour, and will leave New York on the quarter hour and three-quarter hour. Service will begin at 5 A.M. on Monday.
NOTE: There is a temporary two axle, 15-ton weight limit for vehicles on the ferry.
