Cyrus Mad-Bondo of Lynchburg named Malone University (OH) Alumnus of the Year

CANTON , OH (10/11/2013)(readMedia)-- Malone University (Canton, OH) honored Cyrus Mad-Bondo of Lynchburg, Virginia, with the University's 2013 Alumnus of the Year award at a banquet held in his honor.
Cyrus, a 1998 graduate of Malone University, currently serves as the Africa regional director for World Help, headquartered in Forest, VA. He has lived, worked and traveled extensively throughout Central African Republic, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Cyrus was born in the Central Africa Republic. He is a sought after speaker and expert on the social, humanitarian, economic and environmental issues facing Africa. Cyrus is fluent in English, French, Sango, the native language of the Central African Republic, and two additional dialects. He served at the American Embassy in Bangui in the Central African Republic and earned his MBA from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. As director for Africa at World Help, Cyrus builds relationships with national relief partners, coordinating and implementing myriad projects in humanitarian assistance, child development, community building and faith-based support. Cyrus and his wife of 24 years, Julie, have three children: Becky, Michael, and Irene who went home to be with her Lord in September of 2008. Cyrus says that his passion is to share the Word and love of God to as many people as he is able. He has led many short term missions' trips to Guatemala, Dominican Republic, and in Africa, and he has traveled extensively in the U.S. preaching, building relationship with donors, and sharing how each person can use his or her life to make an impact for the cause of Jesus Christ.
