D.C. Native Billy Friebele Has Solo Show at Civilian Art Projects
ST. MARY'S CITY, MD (06/29/2011)(readMedia)-- Billy Friebele, a class of 2000 alumnus of St. Mary's College of Maryland and an assistant professor of art at the college since 2008, has a solo show, "New Loops," at Civilian Art Projects in his hometown Washington, D.C. The show runs through July 23 and features three of his video projects that explore spatial experiences in modern culture. Additionally, Friebele recently won the Best in Show Award in the Digital Works exhibition at the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences. That show runs from June 23rd to July 19th in Long Beach Island, New Jersey.
St. Mary's College of Maryland, designated the Maryland state honors college in 1992, is ranked one of the best public liberal arts schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. More than 2,000 students attend the college, nestled on the St. Mary's River in Southern Maryland.
