SCRANTON, PA (03/18/2014)(readMedia)-- Dana E. Raciti of Philadelphia was among the students at The University of Scranton recognized for outstanding academic achievement at an awards ceremony held on campus.

Frank O'Hara medals were given to the first-, second- and third-year students with the highest grade point averages in the Kania School of Management, the Panuska College of Graduate of Professional Studies, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the College of Graduate and Continuing Education for the 2012-2013 academic year. The award is named in honor of the late Frank O'Hara who served the University for 53 years in various administrative positions.

Raciti received the Frank O'Hara medal from the Panuska College of Professional Studies for academic achievement for her junior year. A second-time recipient of the Frank O'Hara award, Raciti is a counseling and human services major with a minor in philosophy and a concentration is human development. She is enrolled in the Accelerated Master's program for rehabilitation counseling and serves as president of Tau Upsilon Alpha (the counseling and human services honor society). She is also a member of Royal Ambassadors and serves as a tutor for the Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence.
