HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA (05/09/2012)(readMedia)-- At Final Convocation on April 26, Hampden-Sydney College senior Daniel Ford Franck received the McClintock Award in Visual Arts, presented by Professor Pamela P. Fox, Elliott Associate Professor of Fine Arts. Established this year in recognition of Dr. Richard McClintock's legacy of generosity and support for the visual arts at Hampden-Sydney, this award is presented to an outstanding junior or senior visual art student.

A fine arts-visual major, Daniel graduated from Carlisle School and is the son of Jane & John Franck of Martinsville.

A private college for men, Hampden-Sydney is ranked in the top tier of liberal arts colleges by U.S. News & World Report. The College is known for its liberal arts curriculum, the Honor Code which stresses individual and collective responsibility, and a focus on the needs of young men.
