SPRINGFIELD, MA (06/13/2012)(readMedia)-- Daniel S. Rich of Plainville, CT, received the Excellence in Political Science Award during Baccalaureate ceremonies at Western New England University. The award is given to the outstanding graduating senior in Political Science. Peter Fairman, associate professor of Political Science, presented the award.

Rich graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He is a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta, Pi Sigma Alpha, and Omicron Delta Kappa honor societies. While at Western New England, Rich was president of the Pre-Law Society, a member of Class Council, a member of the Resident Hall Association, and a participant in two Alternative Spring Break trips.
