Danvers, MA Resident Ryan Gibbons Joins the New Plays Festival

MILTON , MA (10/31/2012)(readMedia)-- Curry College is pleased to announce that Danvers, MA resident Ryan Gibbons, daughter of Kevin and Cheryl Gibbons, will be playing the role of Grace in Kelly Martin's Oz University in Curry Theatre's Black Box production of The Sixth Annual New Plays Festival. Ryan is a 2011 graduate of Danvers High School, where she appeared in productions of Cabaret and in Night of the Living Dead.

Currently a sophomore majoring in Communication, Gibbons has been seen on the Curry Theatre stage as The Infanta of Spain in Oscar Wilde's The Birthday of The Infanta as part of last spring's production of Twisted Tales.

The Sixth Annual New Plays Festival, showcasing original student 5-10 minute one act plays, will run Saturday, Nov. 10th through Monday, Nov. 12th at 7:30 p.m. at Curry College, in the Oscar B. and Frances A. Keith Auditorium at the Academic and Performance Center on the Milton Campus, 1071 Blue Hill Avenue, Milton, MA. Tickets are $10 and may be reserved at 617-333-2259 (Option 2).

Founded in 1879, Curry College is a private, four-year, liberal arts institution located on 135 acres in Milton, MA. Curry extends its educational programs to a continuing education branch campus in Plymouth, MA. Curry offers 20 undergraduate degrees as well as graduate degrees in business, education, criminal justice and nursing, with a combined enrollment of approximately 4,150 students. The student body consists of approximately 2,000 traditional undergraduate students, 1,650 continuing education and 500 graduate students. More than 1,400 of its students reside on the Curry campus.
