David Doiron Honored at Western New England College

SPRINGFIELD, MA (06/11/2010)(readMedia)-- David M. Doiron of Springfield received the Honor Graduate in Economics Award and the Dean's Award at the Western New England College Baccalaureate ceremony held in May. The Honor Graduate Award goes to a graduating senior who demonstrates academic excellence in the study of Economics, while the Dean's Award is given to the graduating senior with the highest grade point average in the School of Arts and Sciences.
Doiron, a member of the Honors Program, graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. A member of the Alpha Lambda Delta honor society, Doiron was extremely involved in the community as he was a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, helped organize youth clinics at the College, and served as a speaker for the Boys and Girls Club. In addition to athletics and community service, Doiron was part of the College's football team and was named to the prestigious ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America College Division Football Team for the second straight year in 2010.
