David Rosen of Farmington Hills earns graduate degrees from Washington University in St. Louis
ST. LOUIS, MO (07/16/2010)(readMedia)-- David Rosen, son of Charles Rosen of Farmington Hills, Mich. (48331) and Helene Graham, received graduate degrees from Washington University in St. Louis on May 21. Rosen graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy in Biology and Biomedical Sciences from the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences and with a Doctor of Medicine from the School of Medicine.
Rosen was among the 2,706 students who received degrees at the university's 149th Commencement ceremony, which was held in Brookings Quadrangle on campus. U.S. Secretary of Energy Steven Chu, PhD, delivered the Commencement address. Chu received an honorary doctor of science.
Rosen was recognized for receiving the Alexander Berg Prize. Rosen graduated in 2002 from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich., with a Bachelor of Science.

Twenty-two Nobel laureates have been associated with Washington University, with nine doing the major portion of their pioneering research here.
