Della Crain Named NACC Honorable Mention
The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference has announced that Rockford University senior outside hitter Della Crain has been voted NACC Honorable Mention by the conference's 14 head coaches. This marks the second straight season that Crain has been named NACC Honorable Mention. Crain also becomes the first RU women's volleyball player to receive postseason recognition from the NACC in consecutive seasons since Angela Snow (2006/2007).
Della Crain was the top offensive threat for the Regents and one of the top attackers in the NACC this past season. Crain finished the regular season tied for third in the NACC in kills (330), seventh in kills per set (3.24) and solo blocks (17) and thirteenth in total blocks (62), all of which also led the team. Additionally, she concluded the year with career-highs in hitting percentage (.212), service aces (27), digs (68) and block assists (45). Crain finishes her four-year career as a Regent with 884 kills (2.75 kills/set), 52 service aces, 210 digs and 121 total blocks.
