Della Crain Named NACC South Division Honorable Mention

The Rockford University women's volleyball team had a pair of players recognized Monday afternoon when the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference announced its 2020-21 All-NACC Teams. Della Crain and Nicole Eggers were both voted NACC South Division Honorable Mention for the first time in their respective careers. This marks the first time since 2014 that Rockford has had an individual receive postseason recognition from the NACC and is also the first time since 2011 that the Regents have had multiple players honored by the conference in the same season.

Della Crain was selected NACC South Division Honorable Mention for the first time in her career. Crain finished the season as the top offensive threat for the Regents and was one of the better attackers in the conference. She led Rockford in total attacks (331), kills (108) and kills per set (2.70), while finishing seventh, eighth and tenth respectively in those categories in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference. Crain also had 34 digs, 9 aces and 7 total blocks this season. Her two best performances came against the top two teams in the NACC South Division. Crain tallied a season-high 13 kills against both Aurora and Dominican, while also recording hitting percentages of .379 and .313 respectively.
