Democrats Meddling With Republican Primary

ALBANY, NY (01/26/2008)(readMedia)-- It is unprecedented and outrageous that New York City Democrat officials are attempting to illegally meddle in the Republican Presidential primary. Their actions constitute an illegal and improper interference in the election which will cause the disenfranchisement of an untold number of Republican voters.

The failure to use the ballot which was certified by the State Board of Elections will compromise the integrity of the election, create voter confusion and disenfranchise New York State primary voters. The Democrats refusal to remove Republican candidates who have either dropped out of the presidential primary or are ineligible to participate in the primary is irresponsible.

We call upon the Democrats at the NYC Board of Elections to immediately correct their misguided and illegal actions and comply with the directive of the New York State Board of Elections.
