Deptford's Dr. Colleen Maher Named Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy

PHILADELPHIA, PA (11/07/2011)(readMedia)-- Dr. Colleen Maher has been named assistant professor of occupational therapy at University of the Sciences' Samson College of Health Sciences. Dr. Maher has 25 years of occupational therapy clinical experience with a specialty in hand therapy and lymphedema management.
In 2000, Dr. Maher taught in both the graduate occupational therapy program and the occupational therapy assistant program at Mercy College. She has been a guest lecturer at Columbia University on upper extremity rehabilitation topics to occupational therapy students. In 2008, 2009, and 2011 Dr. Maher has presented at the American Occupational Association's National Conferences on upper extremity orthopedic topics.
She was an invited speaker at the New York Occupational Therapy Association's annual conference in October 2011. She has also received an invitation to revise a premier textbook which is widely used by occupational therapist, Occupational Therapy for Physical Dysfunction, 7th edition by Catherine Trombly-Latham.
Dr. Maher received a bachelor's of science in occupational therapy from Temple University and her master's from Columbia University. She completed her occupational therapy doctoral degree at the University of St. Augustine.
Dr. Maher currently resides in Deptford, NJ.
