Des Moines Woman Earns Blue Ribbon in State Fair Pasta Contest

DES MOINES, IA (08/24/2011)(readMedia)-- Rhonda Paul of Des Moines placed first in the Wacky Mac Veggie Bows Pasta Creations contest judged Saturday at the 2011 Iowa State Fair.

Lynn Jeffers of Jesup took second in the competition, and Emma Whitlock of Indianola placed third.

Entries were judged on taste and appearance.

The Iowa State Fair Food Department is the largest of any state fair in the country. Food Department judging is held in the Elwell Family Food Center sponsored by Blue Bunny.
