Devon Dorsey was named the Central Penn College November Player of the Month.

SUMMERDALE, PA (12/13/2012)(readMedia)-- Devon Dorsey, of Wilmington, Del., was named the Central Penn College Player of the Month for November. Dorsey's effort, performance and dedication on the court have been exemplary. With a humble past, he has been bounding past obstacle after obstacle off the court and in the game.

"One thing I must say about Devon is that he's got this outstanding motive," says Coach Dave Baker. "At one of the past games, I was shocked that he scored over 40 points in one game...one game! That all comes from his relentless presence on the court. He's always exactly where he needs to be and I think it can all be attributed to his personal story."

During Dorsey's sophomore year of high school, his mother passed away. He was unable to retain his position on the team and in school, however, through his grief, he would not give up. The following year, Dorsey returned to the scene making his presence known. He got right back on track and he helped lead his team to win the state championship.

The Knights' recent game at Longwood University provided much inspiration and insight to Dorsey. He faced new challenges and expressed his happiness and gratitude to play at that high level. Rising to the occasion, Dorsey has delivered 23 points, 12 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2 steals so far this season. Just this past week, with his numerous successes, Dorsey was named USCAA's player of the week. We can continue to look forward to great things from this player.
