Diversity Dialogue and Dinner
Diversity Dialogue and Dinner II, Feb. 28, 5-7 p.m.
Participants engaged in critical self-reflection during this workshop facilitated by Lillian Reeves, PhD. They guided to think about their own stance and beliefs, and then were prompted to try to pinpoint some of their own bias.
Recognizing bias makes it possible for us to develop awareness and also to disrupt bias thinking. Participants were asked to evaluate some differentiated strategies and practices in videos and then we tried them out ourselves. Participants closed the session by evaluating case studies representing youth experience with bias/prejudice/racism.
