Dixon's Chadd Chatfield Named to All-HAAC Baseball Team

CANTON, MO (05/26/2011)(readMedia)-- Culver-Stockton College relief pitcher Chadd Chatfield was a unanimous first team selection to the 2011 Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) baseball team, the league announced recently.
Chatfield, a junior from Dixon, Calif. (Will C. Wood HS / Solano College), led the HAAC with a school record 14 saves the season. He appeared in 24 games, all in relief, and garnered an 0-3 record with a 2.32 earned run average in 31 innings pitched. He recorded 40 strikeouts, walked 22 and allowed 10 runs (8 earned) during the season. Opponents batted .182 against Chatfield, collecting 20 hits in 110 at-bats.
The Wildcats finished the 2011 season with a 37-17 overall record and captured the HAAC's regular season championship with a 24-4 league mark. Culver-Stockton advanced to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) National Tournament, going 1-2 in tournament play.
