Dorothy Fischer named to York College of PA board

YORK, PA (01/04/2011)(readMedia)-- York College of Pennsylvania recently elected Dorothy Fischer of St. Louis to its board of trustees.
Fischer graduated from York College in 1979 with a bachelor's degree in business administration and worked for several years in cost accounting before starting a family. Throughout the years, she has been active with many community organizations and fundraising committees. She has served on the board of two independent private schools in Florida, having also served as president of the PTA at both. She lives in St. Louis, where she spends her time volunteering for four organizations in the area. She is currently a board member for Clearwater Free Clinic in Florida.
Located in southcentral Pennsylvania, York College offers more than 50 baccalaureate majors in professional programs, the sciences and humanities to its 4,600 undergraduate students. The College also offers master's programs in business, education and nursing, and a doctorate in nursing practice.
