GCC's Kayla Doyle signs a National Letter of Intent to join the Southern Wesleyan University women's soccer program beginning in the fall

BATAVIA, NY (02/05/2016)(readMedia)-- GCC women's soccer forward/midfielder Kayla Doyle (Albion) recently signed a National Letter of Intent with Southern Wesleyan University (SC) to continue her playing career with the Warriors beginning in the fall.

Doyle appeared in 36 games during her two years at GCC, making 34 starts. She totaled 80 points, scoring 28 goals and assisting on 24. Doyle helped lead the Cougars to a 26-11 record over the past two seasons, including a regional championship and a trip to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) National Tournament in 2014. She was a two-time All-Region III First Team selection, two-time All-Western New York Athletic Conference (WNYAC) First Team selection, the 2014 Region III Tournament MVP and a member of the 2014 NJCAA All-National Tournament Team.

Southern Wesleyan is currently in the membership process to join the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division II level. The Warriors are also members of the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) and compete in the Conference Carolinas (CC).

Doyle will study Math Education and will receive scholarship to attend SWU.
