SUMMERDALE, PA (11/23/2011)(readMedia)-- Congratulations to Cristy Doyle for her selection as Central Penn College Player of the Week. Doyle is a guard for the Lady Knights basketball team and a senior at Central Penn. She is a work study student in the financial aid office, majoring in business administration, with a concentration in management. With her many activities, Doyle has mastered one of the many skills imperative to one's success at Central Penn–time management.

Doyle is not only multi-talented, but she is also modest. When fans compliment her during or after games, she simply smiles and waves. Doyle has played basketball since the tender age of six and has an observable love for the game. Despite the fact that she currently excels in basketball, not every aspect of the sport has been a walk in the park.

"I was not sure if I was going to play college basketball," Doyle recalls. "I had a terrible coach in high school and at one point, it seemed impossible."

Fortunately, she overcame that obstacle in her life and is now a proud member of the Central Penn basketball team. The Hazletown native may be reserved off the court, but she is certainly a force to reckon with on the court. In of the Lady Knights' the last game, Doyle lead the team by a whopping 26 points due to her skilled three pointers. She is one of the captains of the Lady Knights and is definitely leading by example. The team player is enjoying her season thus far, but is mindful that there is always room for improvement.

"I'm not the only one on the team; you cannot win a game without a team," states Doyle. "I will help the team by working on my on the court communication." Congratulations to the modest, yet gifted, Cristy Doyle!
