Dr. Goldberg has worked to achieve most of his public health goals via organized medicine. He has chaired the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation's Professional Medical Practice Committee, as well as the Council of State Society Presidents. He has been president of both the American Osteopathic Association's College of Rehabilitation and the New York County Medical Society, and chaired the latter's board of trustees.
