Drayton Selected as Player of the Week
SUMMERDALE, PA (02/22/2012)(readMedia)-- Lamar Drayton, veteran player for the Central Penn Knights basketball team was selected as the Player of the Week February 12. Drayton is pursuing his bachelor's degree in Central Penn College's criminal justice administration program. He comes from the Harrisburg community, where he started playing basketball with his father at the age of five.
"He [Drayton] is humble and puts the team first," says Coach David Baker. "He has been a great addition to the chemistry of the team and his playing ability speaks for itself. He is an unselfish offensive player and a relentless defender."
With a wealth of experience to draw from, Drayton has a respected place on the Knights' team. He also has a focus within the game that carries over into his academic activities.
"I'm positive about my performance and the performance of the team," says Drayton. "I think we can take the season somewhere and put Central Penn on the map."
