Drew Detmers honored with the CCIW Respect Award

Millikin sophomore pitcher Drew Detmers (Chatham, Chatman Glenwood H.S.) was Millikin's winner of the CCIW RESPECT Award.

Detmers won the conference's RESPECT award which is presented at the conclusion of every sports season with each varsity program recognizing one student-athlete. RESPECT Award recipients have distinguished themselves as an integral member of the team, their institution and community by upholding the values of Responsibility, Enthusiasm, Service, Pride, Excellence, Collaboration and Trust. The RESPECT Award recognizes the intangible traits a student-athlete possesses that exemplify great character and encourages inclusiveness and a positive culture.

Millikin finished the regular season with a 26-14 overall record and went 11-7 in the CCIW earned the second seed in the CCIW Tournament that begins May 11th. The Big Blue face Carroll University in a first round game at 3 p.m.
