E-ZPass Repairs at Tappan Zee Bridge Toll Barrier to Necessitate Temporary Lane Closures

ALBANY, NY (10/02/2009)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority announced E-ZPass repair work at the Tappan Zee Bridge Toll Barrier will necessitate the closures of two Higher Speed E-ZPass toll lanes on Monday, October 5, 2009, weather permitting.

On Monday, October 5 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., the Higher Speed E-ZPass toll lanes, lane numbers 11 and 12 located at the far left of the toll barrier, will be closed to make repairs to lane equipment.

In the event of inclement weather, the repair work will take place on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 from 10 a.m. until to 2 p.m.

The Authority will activate its Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) and Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) 530 AM to notify motorists of the closure.

The Authority appreciates motorists' patience while this essential work takes place.
