MILTON , MA (11/08/2012)(readMedia)-- Curry College is pleased to announce that Easton, MA resident, Michael Roney, son of David and Lee-ann Roney, has been cast in his third Main Stage production. A 2011 graduate of Oliver Ames High School, and currently a college sophomore majoring in Communication, Mr. Roney serves as the Curry Theatre Supervisory Board's Assistant Publicity Director, Playbill Editor, and Public Relations Liaison. He has graced the Curry Theatre stage in The Mousetrap, Twisted Tales, and Tartuffe. Mike is currently rehearsing the role of Gerald in Alan Ayckbourn's comedy Woman in Mind.

Knighted by Queen Elizabeth in 1997, Sir Alan Ayckbourn is the most widely produced playwright in England, second only to William Shakespeare. His darkly humorous Woman in Mind sees the action of the play through Susan's eyes, as her mundane reality collides with her active fantasy life. Is it a dream turned to nightmare, or a this witty and imaginative woman, driven to distraction by her pompous and self-absorbed husband, Gerald, played to the edge, but never over the top, by Mr. Michael Roney? Between gasps and guffaws, audience members decide for themselves.

This wildly unpredictable comedy tumbles across the stage on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday; Dec 1st through 4th at 7:30 p.m. at Curry College, in the Oscar B. and Frances A. Keith Auditorium at the Academic and Performance Center on the Milton Campus, 1071 Blue Hill Avenue, Milton, MA. Tickets are $10 and may be reserved at 617-333-2259 (Option 2).
