Educational Professionals to Explore Learning with Technology at Conference

PLATTSBURGH, NY (03/01/2010)(readMedia)-- SUNY Plattsburgh will play host to some 500 faculty and professionals from colleges across the state and nation at the Conference on Institutional Technologies 2010.

The CIT, now in its 19th year, was first held at SUNY Plattsburgh in 2007. This year's conference, "Classrooms, Continents and Clouds: Who Moved My Chalk?" is expected to draw faculty, instructional support professionals, librarians and administrators from all 64 SUNY campuses as well as private colleges from across the country. The four-day event begins Tuesday, May 25 with pre-conference workshops and a welcome reception.

The remaining three days offer more than 100 faculty-led presentations, panels and hands-on demonstrations in categories such as learning spaces; global and mobile; balancing pedagogy and technology; and health education.

The conference provides participants with an opportunity to share experiences and expertise, discuss common problems, brainstorm solutions and explore ways to improve learning with technology.
