Elizabeth Patchell Selected for Future Seed Executives Campus Connections Program

Elizabeth Patchell, a Delaware Valley University horticulture major, was selected for the American Seed Trade Association (ASTA) Future Seed Executives (FuSE) Campus Connections program.

Campus Connections is a selective program that helps college juniors who want to launch careers in the seed industry to network with industry professionals. Participants learn about various aspects of the seed business.

Through the program, Patchell will attend the ASTA annual convention, which attracts approximately 300 seed industry professionals from different seed industry segments. In addition to exposing participants to networking opportunities, the Campus Connections program will also include one-on-one mentoring by seed industry professionals.

Patchell is the first DelVal student to participate in the program. The award includes travel to the national ASTA meeting in Washington D.C. in June. Patchell will be paired with an industry mentor for the duration of the meeting to receive mentoring and career advice.

"I am completely honored to be selected by Campus Connections for this prestigious opportunity," said Patchell. "To be guided by some of the most insightful minds within the American Seed Trade Association cannot be expressed in words. This has been an eye-opening, and humbling experience for me so far. I cannot wait to see what comes next."
