ELIZABETHTOWN, PA (11/06/2014)(readMedia)-- In January 2015, Elizabethtown College's School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) will offer Health Care Administration, a new online bachelor of science degree program focusing on the health care industry's regulations, policies and management, as well as the human and social issues impacting the industry.

The Health Care Administration curriculum, taught by working experts in the field, is delivered in a five-week accelerated online format, providing working adults with flexible options to fit education into their lives. The program blends theory, design, management and practice of health care into a comprehensive learning program, emphasizing ethics, fiscal responsibility, technological solutions, critical thinking and communication skills in the health care environment.

"The School of Continuing and Professional Studies at Elizabethtown College looks to support health care related organizations and their employees in the Central Pennsylvania region by offering degree programs that combine business-oriented courses, emphasizing the health care environment, as well as a strong liberal arts curriculum, " says Dr. John Kokolus, Dean of the School of Continuing and Professional Studies. "Students graduating from the program will be prepared to enhance their contributions to their employers and will acquire the essential business, writing, communications and critical thinking skills needed in their professional lives."
