ELIZABETHTOWN, PA (05/03/2012)(readMedia)-- Elizabethtown College will hold its 109th Commencement Saturday, May 19, 2012. There are two distinctive ceremonies:

11 a.m. – Commencement ceremony for traditional undergraduate students,

Commencement speaker – Dr. Pauline Yu, President of the American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS)

Location: The Dell

4 p.m. – Commencement ceremony for Edward R. Murphy Center for Continuing Education and Distance Learning (CCEDL) undergraduate students

Commencement speaker- Edward R. Murphy P'01, Board of Trustees

Location: Leffler Chapel & Performance Center

This is the first time in the College's one hundred and thirteen year history that adult learners-students who have earned an undergraduate degree through the College's non-traditional degree program-will be graduate in a separate commencement ceremony. There are approximately 450 graduates processing in the traditional ceremony at 11 a.m. and approximately 170 graduates processing in the adult learner ceremony at 4 p.m.
